Overland Park Heating and Cooling is proud to be a sponsor of the 5th annual Plaza 10k run on Sept. 13. The Plaza 10k, part of the Heartland 30k Series, is Kansas City’s signature 10k event and the largest 10k in Kansas and Missouri.
The Plaza 10k course runs along the banks of Brush Creek and through the heart of the Country Club Plaza. There is also a 2 mile Fun Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run for ages 1-8. The 10k race starts at 7:50 a.m., followed by the Fun Run at 7:50 a.m. and the Kids Run at 9:30 a.m. Food and drinks from a variety of local restaurants will be available for all participants at the end of the race. Every 10k finisher will receive a custom Plaza 10k finisher’s medal.
The Plaza 10k benefits KidsTLC, a nonprofit organization located in Olathe, Kansas. The mission of KidsTLC is to provide opportunities that transform kids and families in crisis while ensuring a safe environment. KidsTLC provides a continuum of care through innovative and successful psychiatric treatment, resource family services, community outreach, outpatient behavioral health programs, and autism programs, and wellness programs for kids and families.
